ORANGE COUNTY AND CITY OF ORLANDO CULTURAL PLAN
Arts, Culture & Creative Economy Element
The CANVAS Cultural Plan is a collaborative initiative between the City of Orlando and Orange County to create a comprehensive roadmap that will elevate Central Florida’s arts and culture offerings. Through extensive community engagement and research conducted from 2024-2025, this plan will provide strategic direction for cultural development across the region for the next decade. The plan focus areas include strengthening Orange County’s creative identity on the global stage; Supporting artists and the creative workforce; Expanding creative placemaking and public art; Building cultural sector resilience and Elevating arts as a strategic civic partner. The plan is currently in the last stages of development and is expected to be completed and accepted in August 2025.
