Creative Greensboro is the City's first Arts and Cultural Master Plan. The plan's catalyst was the need to support arts and cultural organizations in the city, although it quickly evolved into a full arts and cultural master plan, in recognition of the importance of arts and culture to the economy of the city. City Council's support of the plan and swift implementation resulted in the creation of a Cultural Affairs office and hiring of a Chief Creative Economy Officer. The plan is based on Greensboro's community aspirations and vision, and the City's forward thinking for the future of the community.
