The City of Naples embarked on its first public art master planning process, building on a long standing art collection and a desire to create a roadmap for the future of the program. Critical to the process is stakeholder and community engagement. A series of public meetings (virtual and in-person) and presentations to the community led a dialogue about the full range of possibilities for public art in life of the community and engendered public support for the plan. The CPG team is currently working closely with City staff to evaluate and identify all opportunities for public art and guidelines and policies for the program. The plan will result in a turnkey program, with updated ordinances, policies, guidelines and procedures necessary for Naples to begin implementing the plan.
